Interesting picture, no?

This is one of my favourites from the Chicago Series.

Please, tell me what you think though.

Jesus....I've got to take photos more often!

Looks like someone's set their phaser to stunning!

Oh my god, this is so simple and beautiful. It makes me want to cry. Really. I love how you managed to capture the snowflakes. I love that it's black and white...I love everything about it. I'm in awe.

the lighting in this pic is amazing, as is the softly falling snow. it makes this picture something more...the fact that it's in black and white makes it seem timeless, but ghostly at the same time. i really like it :)

and no, that isn't a quote.

Thank you so much! One of the things that I love to do is make things older than what they really are, and, I guess the old style is not only one of my passions in photography, but also my behavior and interests in life.

Thank you! I see that you have picked apart it's simplicity. I don't get people who do that much.

Actually, when I took this picture, I was on a tour in Chicago for a college that I am taking a very in-depth look at. So, I took along my camera, and tried, while running to catch up with the ever moving group, to take some great pictures.

Then, I came to the alley that you saw in the picture. I had already warmed up with getting the settings for my camera ready and speedy, so I turned and looked down the alley, and I saw the man. I thought, "Oh, better make this quick before he sees me."

Lift up, zoom, focus, click. Almost with trained precision I got every thing in it's right place.

What was odd, is that, when I took the picture is that I was only focused on the man in the alley, and I placed him in the bottom left-hand corner so that I could balance out the focus with the sides of the alley around him. I hardly even realized that there was snow in the alley to begin with.

If you thought that you cried, you should have seen me when I opened the film development package acquired from my local pharmacy.

Thanks again!
